4th of July in Jackson Hole
The patriotism of our small American town is especially palpable around the 4th of July, when visitors and locals alike gather to admire parades, heart racing rodeos, spirited concerts and stunning fireworks.
If you’re planning an Independence Day adventure in Jackson Hole, our four centrally-located properties — 49er Inn & Suites, Cowboy Village Resort, Antler Inn and Elk Country Inn — are within walking distance to Town Square, a short drive from the national parks, and just steps from some of the town’s most popular 4th of July activities.
Jackson Hole 4th of July Parade
One of Jackson Hole’s time-honored Independence Day traditions is the annual 4th of July parade, whose route circles through downtown Jackson and features vintage vehicles, riders on horseback, patriotic floats, performers and other surprises.
The fun begins on Monday morning, July 4, with a pancake breakfast buffet in Town Square hosted by the Jackson Hole Lion’s Club. Then, at 10:00 a.m., the parade begins, moving north along Glenwood Street — passing by the Antler Inn — before turning right at Broadway Avenue and briefly pausing at Town Square, where floats and performers are judged for prizes. The parade wraps back south along Willow Street before concluding along East Snow King Avenue.
The Antler Inn’s position along the parade route offers guests the luxury of enjoying the parade sights and sounds without venturing far from their rooms, with our other properties less than a 10-minute walk from the family-friendly festivities.
4th of July Concerts
Each year on July 4th weekend, discover a plethora of live music around the area. On July 3 at 6 p.m., enjoy symphonic music outdoors at Home is Where the Music is — a fun for all ages, free family concert at Center for the Arts Park. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort also kicks off their Concerts on the Commons summer music series with free performances at the resort’s outdoor stage on July 3, with a performance at the base of the Tetons, immediately followed by the only July 3 fireworks display in the region at 10 p.m.
On July 4 at 7 p.m., the Grand Teton Music Festival’s Patriotic Pops concert will ring out from the Center for the Arts Park, just around the corner from Antler Inn. At 6 p.m., back at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, more live performers will take to the stage as part of Concerts on the Commons, which leads right into the evening’s stunning fireworks displays.
Jackson Hole 4th of July Rodeo
No visit to the Old West is complete without enjoying a rodeo, and Jackson Hole Rodeo’s annual 4th of July rodeo show is the ideal addition to any summer visit. Perfect for all ages, the rodeo begins at 8:00 p.m. at the Jackson Hole Fairgrounds, featuring close to two hours of bucking broncos, bulls and daring cowboys and cowgirls. The action conveniently concludes just before the day’s grand finale — fireworks — which are viewable from the fairgrounds and elsewhere throughout Jackson and Teton Village.
